In practice, we acquire ready-made moving and transport gigs for you with precise details, and if necessary, also coworkers for the gigs. You decide for yourself which gigs you want to accept, and you are responsible for carrying out the work you accept.

You can do moves either from a clean slate alone without your own vehicle, with your own vehicle, or as an established moving company with your own staff and equipment.

Choose for yourself when you do gigs

The partnership does not include fixed shifts or a specific number of weekly hours.

Available gigs are visible in the gig app, and you can choose the jobs that fit your own schedule.

For example, you can:

• do a few gigs a month

• do gigs alongside studies or other work

• do several gigs a week

• fill open gaps in your company's calendar with additional gigs

Accepting a gig is voluntary. However, once you have accepted a gig, you commit to completing it as agreed.

What kinds of gigs are available?

Various moving and transport gigs come through the app.

Gigs can be, for example:

• studio and one-bedroom apartment moves

• larger home moves

• transportation of individual items

• furniture transportations

• company transportations

• carrying assistance

Before accepting a gig, you see its key details.

These include, for example:

• date and time

• pickup and delivery area

• driving distance

• exact amount of goods

• required vehicle size

• number of people

• floors and elevators

• essential information about the items to be transported

• required equipment

• compensation to be paid to you

So before accepting, you see what kind of job it is and what is paid for it.

What do you earn from the gigs?

A fixed partner compensation is determined in advance for each gig.

The compensation is visible in the gig app before you decide to accept the job.

Earnings depend, for example, on:

• the size of the gig

• driving distance

• floors

• the amount of carrying

• the required number of people

• whether you act as a mover, driver, or as a company with your own team

If you work alone without your own vehicle

You do not need to own a van.

The Pomminvarmat Jätkät app arranges a transport vehicle suitable for the gig according to its size. The vehicle rental is deducted from your gig payout.

Division of costs

The app organizes

• a transport vehicle suitable for the gig

The partner, i.e., you, pays for

• the vehicle rental, which is deducted from the payout

• protective equipment

• fuel

• equipment needed for load securing

• necessary insurance

• other costs of your own business operations

Your expenses are taken into account in advance in the gig compensation.

If you do gigs alone with your own vehicle

If you have your own vehicle suitable for moving or transport gigs, you can use it for gigs.

The required movers and other coworkers can be found through the Pomminvarmat Jätkät app if needed, so having your own existing work crew is not necessary.

When you use your own vehicle, you do not incur a gig-specific vehicle rental cost.

Because of this, you receive more compensation for the gig corresponding to the vehicle rental amount compared to a driver who uses a rental vehicle arranged for the gig.

This typically means about 30–120 euros more per gig depending on what size vehicle is needed for the gig in question.

You are responsible for your own vehicle's:

• operating costs

• fuel

• insurance

• maintenance

• permits and notifications required for operations

If you have your own moving company

If your company already has its own employees and transport equipment, Pomminvarmat Jätkät can serve as a new customer acquisition channel for your business.

Through the app, you get pre-acquired moving and transport customers without your company having to acquire each customer itself.

Your company can accept precisely the gigs that fit:

• your schedule

• your operating area

• your available personnel

• your equipment

You do not need to commit to a specific number of gigs.

For example, if there is a free day in the calendar or a vehicle and workers are available, you can fill capacity with additional gigs found in the app.

The company uses its own personnel and equipment

The moving company primarily uses its own:

• personnel

• transport equipment

• protective equipment

• insurance

• tools

The company is also responsible for its own personnel, equipment, fuel, and other business expenses.

In this model, Pomminvarmat Jätkät acts as a customer acquisition channel that acquires the customer and forwards the completed gig to your company.

Pomminvarmat Jätkät takes a pre-agreed fixed percentage commission on every gig forwarded to the company.

You see the gig details and your own share before accepting the gig.

How doing a gig progresses

1. The gig appears in the app

You see the available gig as well as its essential details and the compensation paid to you.

2. You decide for yourself if you want the gig

If the schedule, location, gig content, and compensation suit you, you can accept the gig.

If the gig doesn't suit you, you don't have to take it.

3. The accepted gig is locked to you

Once you have accepted the gig, you are responsible for handling it as agreed.

You get the information needed to perform the gig from the app.

4. You perform the gig

The partner acts as the actual service provider to the customer and is responsible for providing the moving or transport service they accepted.

5. The customer pays for the gig

Once the gig is completed, you ask the customer to pay in accordance with the payment instructions provided by Pomminvarmat Jätkät.

6. You receive your compensation

When the customer pays for the gig, the compensation due to you is transferred to your payout account within 7 days.

The compensation paid to you has been known to you already before accepting the gig.

What is needed to start a partnership?

You need a Business ID (Y-tunnus).

If you do not yet have a Business ID, it can be created for free in OmaVero.

Before being added to the gig calendar, a partnership agreement is signed.

The agreement defines, among other things:

• the operational model of the partnership

• accepting gigs

• payment

• responsibilities

• damage situations

• cancellations and no-show situations

You can be added to the gig calendar only after signing the agreement.

In addition, we need the required information regarding, among other things, a driver's license as well as any transport licenses and notifications.

What about insurance and transport licenses?

The partner is responsible for the necessary insurance and regulatory obligations of their own business operations.

If you plan to drive vehicles with a cargo space over 12 m³, you must make a Traficom goods transport notification. The notification is a one-time process and costs 65 euros.

If needed, you will receive assistance with submitting the notification.

How do complaint and damage situations work?

Pomminvarmat Jätkät acts as an intermediary service between the customer and the partner.

When you accept a gig, you act as the actual service provider to the customer and are responsible for the moving or transport service you have provided.

Because of this, damages and complaints related to performing the service are, in principle, handled between you, the service provider, and the customer.

If customer property is damaged

If a customer submits a complaint, for example, about furniture or other property damaged during transport, the matter is, in principle, settled directly between the customer and the partner who performed the service.

The partner clarifies with the customer:

• what has happened

• what caused the damage

• whether the damage is the partner's responsibility

• whether the damage will be processed through the partner's insurance

• how any compensation will be handled

If you operate as a moving company and your employee carried out the gig, your company still acts as the service provider towards the customer and is responsible for handling the matter.

Insurance and compensation

The partner must have insurance coverage suitable for their operations.

If the damage falls under insurance coverage, the partner can process the damage through their own insurance company.

Any compensation to the customer is agreed upon between the service provider and the customer or handled through an insurance company, depending on the situation.

When does Pomminvarmat Jätkät participate in handling complaints?

If the complaint is due to an error in the Pomminvarmat Jätkät app or in the gig details delivered to the partner, which has affected the execution of the work or led to a complaint situation, please contact Pomminvarmat Jätkät customer service.

Such a situation may be, for example, that materially incorrect information about the service ordered by the customer was provided to the partner.

In this case, the following are investigated separately:

• what the customer ordered

• what information was provided to the partner

• what caused the complaint

• which party is responsible for the situation

If the gig details were correct and the complaint relates to the actual performance of the service, the matter is, in principle, between the customer and the partner acting as the service provider.
